"Morning of the Son"
Hmm....Let's see. Oh right. This song is kind of about Lucifer. Not really a satanic piece, if you will, but more of a vague history lesson on how enemies are made. Yeah, it's weird, but the song itself is rather simple and catchy. It's kind of a harmonic neo-grunge piece. Another one in the bag for the debut.

"I Came to You"
I just wrapped on "I Came to You", which turned out to be a catchy, yet hypnotically bare bones type of ballad. It's one of those things where you get the chorus in your head and the rest of the song has to be written at once. Anyway, it's finished, so there's only a few more to go, and then it's time to start promoting, along with figuring out who's going to release this thing as well. "I Came to You" can be streamed on www.myspace.com/orphanbird for the time being.

"Why Not"
Finished up "Why Not" last night. It's uptempo and catchy, which is sort of what this project is about. Don't let "A Slow Song for Sad People" fool you. This album will be short and lo-fi, maybe 10 or 12 songs at the most, but it will have lots of energy and melody, with a little bit less introspection than usual. Anyway, that's the update, and I'm sure I'll have something new on "Orphan Bird", the album, soon.
By the way, thanks to Altsounds, Underskn, and Music Snobs for their reviews, posts, and updates. The Orphan Bird is very young and they have been very helpful in getting the word out.
